View Full Version : Display problem
I got right through the process of creating a new widget, right up to the "Name and Save" page, when the bloody widget covered the "Save" button so i couldn't go any further. see attachment
wasted nearly an hour.
buzzin.
Hi Andy,
What resolution are you running your monitor at?
I am at 1280x1024 and cannot seem to re-create this problem.
Also, what browser are you using and what version of that browser?
Cheers
FireFox 3.0.3
resolution: 1024 x 768
(sorry, haven't got a new fangled widescreen monitor yet)
Hi Andy,
Yeah that seems to be a resolution problem. The widget covers the other area on that resolution.
Feel free to PM what you need and I can recreate the widget for you.
Cheers
Cheers george, PM sent.
Doesn't fix the display problem though, and while it's a problem, i can't create a new widget.
You could (well, not you personally, but YOU as in Digiwindaffshop) try moving the "Save" button so it sits underneath any created widgets, or add a keyboard shortcut, or let the Return button submit the form, or use the existing SAVE in the breadcrumb as a link to submit the form. It's already there and well out of the way.
Judging by the bad placement there, I would have said that the page needs completely redoing to be more compatible. Blaming resolution is an excuse, not an answer.
If Andy is suffering that, it clearly means that a heck of a lot more people are almost certianly suffering the same thing and while we tend to be vocal on here and raise problems, a lot of people would probably just give up on it and walk away from that completely.
Offering to remake a widget for an affiliate is seriously not the answer, that's a cure for a tiny part of the problem, not a solution to the problem itself and I seriously doubt that Affiliate Windows and it's staff have the time or patience to start knocking out widgets for anyone who has an incompatible resolution.
Hi guys,
Sorry, I should have been more clear in my first post...
I had forwarded this as a request to the dev guys when it was first raised to adjust the page template and in the interim I can help Andy out.
Regards
Ah, ya know, I knew that was what you meant george. At no point did I think you wouldn't have told the devs :o
