Dear Guys,
At the bottom of the default template index page that I'm using, just above the footer was a little bit of text and a link to the retailers list page. I've expanded the text here, to add some more content around this link for the visitors, but I need to simply put a background image or color behind just this H2 text. I thought I knew how to do this! You will see from the site all is looking great except this text against the sky main page/body background is a little bit unfocused. How do I put a background image or colour command behind just this writing, to make it stand out on it's own?
The site/index pages are here;

If anyone could look at this and give me a clue how to do it, that would be great
Thanks Deekstar

Firstly, treble linking your site in posts like you have here is if anything going to cost you when it comes to spider indexing, as spiders will see it as duplicate links and will discount it, it could even count against you with the search engines.

Regarding putting a background behind the h2 text, the simple anwer would be to simply wrap the text inside a div or span tag and use the revelevent class code, say for example the same way as you've done for the footer, that sort of thing can all be done with CSS.

What's with the seagulls?

you can apply a background to H tags using css

Ooh, I never knew that, but it makes sense, I don't use H tags anything like as much as I should anyway though, I'm a bit old fashioned with some of my coding ways.

Dear Guys,
Thanks for that very quick response, I'll get to work pronto!
Incidently, for the record, Mr administrator and Amoochi, I always put a variety of site url's in a forum question just to make sure people have access to the site! I was asking a genuine question! how many times, even, in this forum have you seen peoples responses to an important question go something like this,
"the link you provided didn't work"
I don't do link spamming, especially in my own forum, so don't even think about it! I hope no one took these links the wrong way! Our site already has page rank after only a couple months of genuine hard work & SEO, but the main thing that really worrys me Amoochi, is that you don't get the Seagulls! entertainment dear boy! People will always be attracted to the novel and aesthetically pleasing thngs in life. Too many websites just look like websites! you know what I mean?
Anyway cheers for the answers,
best Regards, Deekstar

I don't recall anyone accusing you of spam advertising in this thread, I believe I was offering you a little of my experienced advice.

Funny that, if I am looking for a seagull then I always look for sites with shotguns.
