Selecting certain categories only

Hello, can anyone tell me how to just select 1 or 2 product categories.

For example if i want to create a website for garden buildings, i do not want all the products like electronics etc etc showing on my website.

The store that you mentioned is just a standard SW installation where the category starting point has been set to a certain category the search box has been hacked to not show the drop down generator and the top navigation has been hard coded and some other bits of functionality have been suppressed.

This gives the 'illusion' that it is electronics only - try a search for say 'elephant' and you will see how the constraints can be broken out of.

The sample store is about as far as you can go with Version 1 and there are different posts covering the various aspects of how to achieve this type of thing BUT you have to do quite a lock of hacking to stop some other in built functions running, etc.

Version 2 of SW may let you get a lot closer to what you want and a lot more easily - why not request an advance preview from George, Adrian or Amo?

I am sure that they will oblige you further.
