Ok, so by some miracle, a user ends up on one of my pages and clicks through to buy a Fridge freezer from TribalUK.
They see they can earn 1000 iPoints, so register (or already are registered with iPoints) and buy the fridge, entering their iPoints login at checkout.
Who gets the commission?
'TribalUK' and 'Fridge' are examples, there are quite a few merchants hooked up with iPoints.

The ambiguity in your response leads me to believe that it is infact iPoints who get my commission.
if that IS the case, perhaps the iPoints thing should be treated the same way it would be if it were a Telephone number to sales.
ie. it doesn't display at all for affiliate traffic

I have checked with the account manager for this and Ipoints do not override your cookie as a refferer.
As far as we are aware Ipoints have a separate arrangement with Tribal to govern their registration activity.
To confirm this, Eva is waiting on confirmation from Tribal and will update the thread with the confirmation.

Would like to find out about this also - not just for Tribal but for any merchant.
These sort of issues seem to crop up all the time. One of the worst I have had is with Direct Line. A user would click through to Direct Line from one of my links but as soon as they decided to 'save the quote for later', which pretty much everyone would do so other prices could be compared, the referral was lost! Blinkin' disaster especially as it was some costly PPC getting the clicks in the first place.
Not quite the same but another example of where you should get the credit but don't.
