Since I've been moaning a lot recently as problem after problem cropped up on my site I thought I'd balance it out with some genuine praise.
It's just occured to me that my site is looking much better and loads much faster now that the product images have been standardised. When SW launched I quickly realised arbitrary image sizes were going to cause problems and I was reluctant to use browser scaling because of the poor results. Instead, I wrote a resampling script and cached images on the fly to shoe-horn images into my site's design. Not only did this take loads of server space (nearly a gig) it often crippled my host's servers and got my site taken offline on many occassions before I realised just how intensive my script was.
Now I can just load images directly to the browser, having tweaked my design to compensate, and for that, myself and my server are very grateful. Thanks guys :)
