View Full Version : Blocked by Hotter Shoes

Just had my affiliate status revoked by Hotter Shoes for lack of sales this year.

OK fair enough, but...

I'm sure they used to have a Shopwindow feed (otherwise I wouldn't have applied to join), although this doesn't seem to be active now.

This raises a question:

I apply to be an affiliate for most Shopwindow merchants, that way I'm kept informed of any offers, promotions etc.

However, if I'm removed from the program - would any commissions from my Shopwindow sites be cancelled? Do I then also have to block the merchant?

I can see that as merchants revoke affiliate memberships for lack of sales our shopwindows will gradually empty.

Can anyone at AW comment on this?

Thanks

Turns out their feed is unintentionally dead aswell - no sales, hmm... not surprising.

Hi Bud,

Just to clarify on how this works...

Any sales made from your ShopWindow sites are in a sense 'Anonymous' to the Merchant as there recorded as 'ShopWindow' sales, so in this case they would not be cancelled.

You can continue to be a ShopWindow affiliate for the programme so it's not necessary to block the Merchant.

As the two affiliate membership types work independently, this will not be the case :D
