For the Quota?

Really, what is it's purpose?
Why not just give us all full access so we can get on with creating a decent application to sell our affiliated retailers products.

All the Quota seems to be doing for me is preventing me getting on with my job. I can't even complete a full scan to create a sitemap

I hope to God google dont index:
soaperror Object ( [sCode] => ns1:Client.LIMIT_1 [sString] => Insufficient Quota [sDetails] => getCategoryTree: You have used all your operations quota )

Hi Andy,

Can you email me your affiliate ID?

I can get this sorted for you.

For more information about the Quota, please see here (http://www.shopwindowforum.com/showthread.php?t=31).

I apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you today, but I can assure you this is only a temporary measure whilst we work towards sustaining our service levels; and working towards opening up the quota to its maximum capabilities.

Ive had my quota increased to the full 100000 a day, although im not sure this will be enough in the long run.

Although my site is open to the public, I am still developing SEO stuff for it. Notably mod rewrite of URLs, so i'll be using up some of these calls with development.

Every page refresh uses up 3 of my calls, btw, did you know?

Google, MSN and Yahoo are gonna take up a large chunk of any sites quota.

If the problem is with server speed at the AW end, you could compress the output quite simply using: php_value zlib.output_compression 9
or even cache the output. Wouldn't affect the bandwidth, but it'd definately help with server resources.

Hi Andy,

The 100,000 is the live quota set for the moment; through monitoring we are aiming to increase this over the next few days.

Once we have finalised the live status quota, please let me know how you get on and whether this is sufficient for you.

I can thereafter adjust your quota; so that we meet your individual requirements.

Also, thanks for the info about server speeds. Ill be looking into this in the next few days, so this info will be useful :)

Hi Gunner,

I am working this week towards ensuring that all affiliates do not experience major difficulties over the weekend.

I will put a post up explaining how support is to be provided over the easter break, so hopefully this will help to clarify.

Thanks

Amo
