Is there any way of avoiding this sort of this coming up in Shopwindow direct when searching for toys?
It is hardly encouraging parents to use our services.

Ten days and no response, what should we do?
Hi,
Could you give me an example of the search that you are doing please so I can look into this?

Yes, the search was for meccano
http://www.shopwindow.com/search.php?q=meccano&c=0&search.x=23&search.y=17
and this appeared on page two of the listings

As you know, it is not possible to specify a category (or a clickref!!!!) in a shopwindow direct link, although, following the upgrade, this would produce many more relevant results than an all category search, which, for some odd reason, now just gives a very limited result compared to a limited category search.

A very quick solution would be to block the merchants sending that data.
you can do this in your AffWin account. go to "shopwindow Toolset" -> "Merchant Manager" find the merchant and check the "block" box.
Unfortunately, this is the only weapon we have in the affiliate armoury right now, but it's quite effective.
Merchants always cokup their feeds, it's almost like they farm out the job to 4 year olds sometimes. You'll find Lonely old greasy men where there should be toys, you'll find stickle bricks where there should be tile cutters.
Hopefully there will be an improvement with the release of V2, but in the meantime, i suggest you block any offending merchants.
FAO Dev Team:
Perhaps it'd be a good idea to have a comments textarea so we can tell the merchants exactly why we're blocking them.

Any progress with this?

(Andy, thanks, but I assume if you block merchants from one site, you block them from them all, which is probably not what you want to do, there should be another solution to this)
