Website error

Hi i am getting the folowing error on my webpage..

soaperror Object ( [sCode] => ns1:Client.AUTH_2 [sString] => Authentication Failed [sDetails] => getCategoryTree: Invalid combination of username/password/usertype or account disabled

does anyone know what this means??

I have been to check the global.inc.php page, where the username was correct, but the password was a approx 20 digit figure, i changed this, then reloaded, and the front pages said, " all was OK, except for the password"

please can anyone advise further

If it is what I am thinking it is AW had some technical problems a few days back which affected 30 or more sites at least that is according to Adrian at AW - mine included

The password that you mentioned is/was probably correct as if I understand it correctly it would have been your password encrypted

If you look at your shop window toolset it will probably be showing your API as inactive

You can request reactivation which will also involve a new password to be generated which you will need to put into your globals.inc.php again

I would suggest giving AW a call first thing Monday morning and speak to Adrian or somebody else in the technical dept and they will be able to help sort it out

You may just be putting the wrong password in as it should be the encrypted one and not the one you originally typed in

You can find your encrpted password by going to update account details the link to which is at the bottom of the right hand side column in my account

Then got to change password and the encryted password for the Shop window Client is the second one down - check that this is the same as you have in your globals.inc.php file
