View Full Version : Merchant Logos All Missing???
I've woken up this morning, gone on to my shopping sites and find that all the merchant logos are missing from my site, I've also checked a couple of other peoples sites and notice the merchant logos from their sites are missing too.
This is seriously going to make peoples shopping sites look very unprofessional.
I wouldn't mind if we'd been informed in advance that some work was being done for version 2 or something like that, but this is terrible and I can seriously see it costing me sales.
Like some other affiliates, i've put a hell of a lot of work into making sure I am promoting the merchants in the best possible way I can and getting as many sales as possible for them and for myself and things like this really get to me, it makes me look bad, it makes the merchant look bad and it makes Affiliate windows look bad, it's kinda embarrassing on top of all the items in wrong categories and all the other silly errors that others have reported.
Edit: They are also missing from the featured merchants bits for the actual ShopWindow site, except for some custom ones that are on the main ShopWindow front page.

It would be more accurate to say that MOST Merchant small images are missing but not all : http://www.shopwindow.com/category.php?c=4 : and hit refresh (F5).

No matey, when I came on this morning every single logo was missing, on every site I could find using the shopwindow script, not just the normal missing ones which are only mildly annoying.
I had to go out, so I don't know when they all came back though.

Apparently there was a problem very early this morning which did indeed affect the Merchant logos. The problem was noticed once we were in the office and rectified v.shortly after.

They seem to be having problems again.
Numerous logos missing.

Can you provide me with a few examples please so that I can look into this? Did these merchants have logo's before you flagged them as missing?
Possibly it is to do with the Server Migration when we moved over the images. Anything added on the day of migration may have been lost but before and after should be fine to my knowledge.

Can't say when this happened as I only just noticed today. May have been a few days since it started?
Oddly, it may help to know that my A-Z listing I created is fine but the product php pages fail to load merchants logo???
As you can see from the examples above this isn't just my site - Shopwindow.com is affected as well as other shopwindow sites.

If you go to Merchant Manager you can see ALL the merchants with logos that are failing.

The last time this happened was during the server migration so I didn't bother reporting it. Perhaps that was just a coincidence and some other problem is to blame?
I agree, probably just the same thing but thought I'd highlight it as it isn't so obvious with V2

The examples given seen to have rectified themselves now, I am sure that this was just a temporary glitch brought on by the server migration but it is always good to flag these up just in case it is something more serious that could have been the cause.

Seems to be fine again.
As Bud pointed out the logos we're all using on our sites are from the same location as those used throughout AW. If this happens again just bring up an AW merchant list to get a list of broken images and see the extent of the problem.
