Hi all,

I have a question about the merchants, who are included in shopwindow.

In order to earn any commission, do i have to be an affiliate to all those merchants showing in the shopwindow?

There are many merchants included, that i have no relation with.

I found today that doing a search for 'sheffield history book' brought up some results - the first two of which were from a dating agency that I'd no relationship with, describing a couple of men who were looking for love

In order to offer product comparison functionality, we have identified 3 new types of membership which are in play (allowing you to provide comparison through many more of our merchants than a traditional membership would allow for): Hard Memberships, Soft Memberships, and On Demand Memberships. These memberships allow you to have a relationship with all merchants providing datafeeds. However, these memberships only apply to the ShopWindow Toolset, and it is up to you who you include within your ShopWindow Toolset. Your merchants can be managed (for API and Client Software) within your admin area under 'Merchant Manager' (ShopWindow Toolset Page).

When you drive traffic through to shopwindow.com, your users can complete an action for all of the merchants on our network with a datafeed. Therefore, you do not need to have a relationship with all of them. In your reports, you will only see that a sale has been completed on shopwindow.com, and not the merchant. This keeps things clear for all parties :)

can someone let me know what setting to use for merchants that I have no relation with. I was rejected by comet and havent changed any of the settings in merchant settings - everything is set to all

however, nothing is showing up for comet so I assumed that was because I was rejected.

I am also confused about this so I'm hoping someone can patronise me here!

What merchants will appear in the shop? Is it all merchants on awin regardless of my status with them?

What commission is paid? Is it the same as if I were to put a direct link on my site, again regardless of my status with the merchant?
