How do I select Categories

Hi Everyone,

Newbie so taking things easy.

If I use on eof the default templates ( Say blue 2a) and want only to list electronics, gadgets and computer stuff how do I limit that?

You cannot select more than one category for the top of the tree and even if you do choose a category then your site will slowly leak to other areas,

You can hardcode categories / searches into a fixed menu or you can do multiple installs and overlay with your own navigation. Horses for courses.

There have been plenty of posts about these topics - try a search or three!

You can select one category without a leak but its not easy as you need to change breadcrumbs etc, the only leakage would be search results but that can just jump to your main site

example:

i have one install www.click2compare.co.uk but the following site plus many more all use the same install.
