Excluding categories

Has anyone been able to exclude categories from the tree,

I want to exclude categories that are empty, or have none related merchants in, like 247electrical & AJ electronics popping up in insurance ??? (this needs sorting AW)

but if you exclude these and the one insurance company there is (that appears 100's of times) the insurance categories are empty.. so should not appear in the tree.

I've been looking on this forum for some support, and sadly your post tells it as it is.

I'm not very user friendly with PHP myself, and I'm in the same boat as you. I'd love some advice but this isn't a very user friendly forum. If you know how to edit PHP, fine. If you don't then it's tough luck, if the response is anything to go by.

Hope you get an answer soon. Sorry I can't help, but my site has problems and so I came back in to see what help I can get. Judging by your post, I won't hold my breath.
