Just curious, but what the fek does everyone get up to virtually every week night and weekend. This place turns into a ghost town and gets virtually nothing at all posted except during the working week... It baffles me... Doesn't anyone do anything with their sites and online outside of working hours?

I probably sound a bit addicted or sad or whatever, but I spend a few hours every evening and a lot of the weekend most weekends, online, checking out stats, looking for way to improve things, adding little bits to my sites, doing minor tasks that I can't be bothered to do during the week, etc. Even just nattering to mates, playing games, listening to music and the likes, my computer is an integral part of life and as a result, my regularly visited favourites get clicked on a few times too, including this place, but it really frustrates, that very few people ever post anything at all, outside of normal weekday working hours.

Well, for a start I haven't been here for months. In fact since the excitement of V1 turned into the bitter disappointment that was V2. Now I see V3 is out my interest has been piqued again.

As for evenings and weekends, like you an internet connection has become an integral part of my life (I have a few online businesses that are my sole source of income) but I found I could waste hours literally cycling through the same dozen or so accounts checking stats, income, posts, emails etc. but ultimately achieving nothing. When I became self-employed I decided I needed to enforce some kind of office hours outside of which the computer was turned off so I didn't constantly feel the need to check stuff. Checking for updates is incredibly addictive. I'm just glad I never really bought into the whole twitter phenomenon...

I don't think you'd notice a great deal of difference between version 2 and version 3 to be honest, the tweaks aren't really all that life changing.

Yeah, I know the addictive nature, I get a right buzz when income figures make a sudden jump on a good day, but I do enjoy checking anyway, but do limit myself to doing it a couple of times a day, for the same purpose you mentioned.

Oh and probably lacked a little foresight making this thread.... Should have realised the resulting replies would be sparse, on a weekend... Doh... :o

My main gripe with version 2 was that they took out the only two features my site heavily relied on to differentiate itself from everyone else's. I don't know why they took them out, but they've put them back into 3 which means I can finally upgrade from v1. Hopefully...
