Dear all,

Given the huge success of the ShopWindow platform and vast uptake from the affiliate community, we are shortly going to be undergoing a major platform redevelopment. The aim of this redevelopment is to streamline our product offering to ensure an optimized service is maintained for all affiliates on the platform, regardless of the increase in usage that we are seeing.

As a result of this development, we are in the process of reviewing active users of the platform on a return on investment basis. We want to ensure that affiliates that are using the platform to generate commissions receive fast, uninterrupted service through ShopWindow. Over the next few weeks we will be contacting those of you that require a review of activity, communicating any necessary action we deem as required. Please note, some accounts will require their quota for ShopWindow to be put on hold until release of the new platform. Once the new platform has been released, a variety of access options will be available which will allow you to continue your activity through ShopWindow.

We will be sending notifications out shortly and will follow up with ETAs on the new platform to all affiliates. If you have any questions or queries about this, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the ShopWindow team.

Please note, this action will not affect the use of your affiliate account and you will still have normal access to all other linking methods and datafeeds. This includes Content Widgets.

Regards
ShopWindow

Hello all,

A further note to help clarify the changes...
Our aim with the re-haul is not to switch affiliate accounts off or defer them to other solutions. Our aim is simply to ensure an optimum service can be delivered to all using the service and this has a large requirement on us being able to measure and control usage.

The best approach to this is on a ROI basis, ensuring that all affiliates get out of the platform what they put in. If you have therefore integrated ShopWindow onto your domain and are (for example) optimising the content and creating pages which can be indexed in the search engines then it would be anticipated that your investment (time and money) would be reflected in your traffic / clicks / earnings.

It is this metric that we are aiming to understand better, from which we can make the platform more useful and more comprehensive. If you are an affiliate that is just starting out with our service, or are below the ROI thresholds that are identified, you will have the choice to:
use a basic service which gives you access to the platform
pay a subscription fee which gives you access to our premium product(with unlimited usage)Essentially, we want you guys to generate more commissions from the use of the platform, and this is what our work is being based on. If you're in a position where you're not quite hitting the mark, we will have other ways that you can continue your work with us.

Hopefully this helps to explain the reasoning behind our efforts and why its not just a case of being able to throw more servers and hardware at it :)

Regards
ShopWindow

Mid-May, ShopWindow hosted a Steering Committee to gather feedback for the hotly anticipated platform upgrade. A number of intrigued affiliates were in attendance and the day surrounded around the ideas being put into the new system to further enhance the ShopWindow offering.
Ideas were bounced back and forth with the committee giving feedback on our plans and us giving feedback on their additions. Each affiliate brought fresh, new concepts to the table with a keen eye to enhancing the software and the ensuing discussions were forced to continue after the break for lunch. With so much being brought to the table the end of the day was escaping us.

The affiliates who attended left the day feeling happy that the changes being made to the platform were positive and worth the wait. With their ideas bolstering the already presented improvements ShopWindow is in a strong position for yet another positive year at the helm.

As the impending release draws ever closer the development team are going above and beyond the call of duty to have this product in shipshape before being made public. Out of the sixteen major points that were discussed during the Steering Committee nine of those have already undergone development and are nearing completion. The others are on schedule for the six to eight week release date.

To whet the appetite there will soon be a sneak peek at a few of the features to be included ... watch this space.
