Searched "Wii Fit" on shop window and Toys R Us came up with a very attractive price of £69 for one. Clicked on the link to the shop and it shows that the product is out of stock. I don't think Toys R Us should come up in the search results in the first place because it's out of stock. Isn't shop window suppose to dynamically update its data when something's not available?

Hi PipSqueak,

Yes that is how it should work but it all depends on whether the merchant has flagged the product correctly in their datafeed. ShopWindow can only be as good as the data that is fed into it and it seems Toys'R'Us have not provided us with the best possible data :(

I will speak to the account handler.

Cheers

happens alot. Merchant sites lock into stock control, so if they sell out, they display that on their site immediately.
SW feeds aren't locked into that same stock control, and are updated periodically.

Dixons are good at dropping prices 98% when out of stock, the price always shoots back up when in stock

In Stock at £22.98 untill 27th Feb when it went Out of Stock and dropped to 97p

Thats a seriously sneaky tactic and one which makes us look foolish, they shouldn't be allowed to do that at all.

I find the "out of stock" part of the system flawed personally. It reflects really bad on us, surely something needs to be done to correct it, so it is syncronised, so that it shows the same on the merchant site as it does on the affiliate siteall of the time.
